WWOW: The Signs and Symptoms of Ministry

When I started Nursing School in 1967 and Seminary in 1995, I started to pour the disciplines of nursing and ministry into a bottle of medicine that I felt would help heal the hurts of selves, souls and spirits.  I looked around and 48 years had passed so fleetingly. I have started to write for my wellness. Today I need sight, sound , smell, taste and touch to make a spirit call. I am looking for the signs and symptoms  of  beautiful skies to cure my “need to get out of the house and enjoy the first spring in 51 years without my GirlMicLeslie.

WWOW: When Books Win!

#WWOW:  This has been a week where appointments have had to be canceled, Family Blends and Friends could do nothing but call to check on each other and then today there was the odor of gas in the air. I am writing, reading and doing rithmetic (paying bills) but I think I will call this a next day post and go somewhere and rest my head.

I have set a goal for a 99 word post so let me give you a quote from one of these books I am reading:

WWOW: The Up and Down Journey At The Peabody

! continue to capture scenes that will be included in my “Skies of My Sixties” journals. I noticed that someone had “liked”  a post from the past which reminded me of my Honey Bear’s work. He worked at the Peabody Hotel for 50 years before retiring and today we were remembering the ice storm of 21 years ago where he drove into work. He even remembered the route he took to avoid the ice crazed drivers. He was able to drive us to work and back so many times, I am thanking God for him as we both have since retired but I share with you a picture of the ultimate ups and downs on the job,.He retired in 2007 and he was honored with an elevator plaque at the Peabody Hotel. I think of how many times people must ride the elevator up and down and ask, “Who is Silas Harris? He is my one minute elevator speech on inspiration and gratitude. He is a wonderful man and I call him my “loving out loud” and a part of #WysWaysofWellness.  silaselevatorspeechat the peabody

My Husband  started to talk about the lines in the sky with one of those “Why Wy” questions so I am now asking the question, “Why the lines in the sky? It also gives me an opportunity to do a #Photo101 and #Blogging201  while seeking answers for my Journal entry into “Skies of My Sixties.”

Blogging 101: Switching Sites While In The Air!

I am working to build up a site I started 2 years ago within my main blog and would like to use it in #Blogging101 Book reviews. I would ask for help with this because one of my goals is to increase readers to this site. Do you all have any suggestions? http://www.wysjoyfulcompany.wordpress.comwpid-img_958505739540.jpeg

LORD by Bolden E. Lawson

I am so close to midnight and today has been one of the days that I just needed a word from the Lord. I have been reading some of the #Blogging201 posts and I wanted to share a poem of Prayer with written permission from Bolden E. Lawson, our friend from Chicago.                                                       LORD

LORD, on our knees this morning we pray, Deliver us from burdens we will encounter today, Through life’s bitter snares asnd tempest storms, we traveled a long way on this road home.

LORD, suffering since the day we were born, Walking in darkness you never left us alone. Father, when it seemed we had lost our way, You took our hands , guided us day by day.

LORD, when life got hard to bear, From valleys low, mountains high, You were there. You renewed our strength, trusting in your love, As you guided us step by step from above.Wy in Worship with Hands lifted 2nd row middle minister08102014

Seven Shouts to the Skies in Wysjoyful Company! Seeking Wellness

#Photo101 I am on a side trip on my journey celebrating life. Each morning I go out and gaze at the sky and imagine angels who have been there protecting me while I slept. It is fun to watch the neighbors look up into the sky when they see me looking up. Today I share my skies with you.by adding the sky for today but I see the moon and angel still in place. What a joy to know that In all things , I am still covered by #Gratitude and #Grace #Blog101 @wysjoyfulcompanyMore October Skies of my Sixties 003IMG_0004
