Laughter: Book Beginnings And Book Ends

Laughter for healing and healing laughter as a ministry is my “The Ways Wy Was” focus. Today I begin a 12 day saga of Challenges and Choices. Have you ever been asked the question, “What makes you laugh?” I woke up with this on my mind as I read my focus scripture. I started my day thinking about the life and death of my GirlMic, Leslie and what she did that would make me smile.  Since I am writing a 100 word saga series, I have to measure my words into capsules. The capsule today is my working through the sadness wilderness.

Wearing Red: Self, Soul, and Spirit

I woke up thinking of my mother who died January 18, 2001 of a “massive heart attack. She had many heart healing episodes and treatments in her life after the diagnosis of diabetes at the age of forty. She loved the color red and wore it along with her red pumps. I wear red to represent her today and I found this church picture and decided to represent in the red campaign and dedicate this writing to her and my GirlMicLeslie who died September 1, 2015. We seemed to all smile when we put on the color red because we believed that everyone looks  good in red.

WWOW: Saying Fare Well ON A Wednesday!

I am stepping back from spending many hours on WordPress. I heard my husband say. “Do you realize how much time you are spending not writing on your book?  I received a relevant revelation as I am sitting here when I should be preparing to say fare well to my friend and to participate in her homegoing celebration aka Funeral Services. I will add media of my house of memoirs and my Survivor Wy picture and close up. I want to thank each person who gave me wonderful vibes and great reading material.  It feels good to be here with you.

Wy’s Ways of Wellness RadioBlog:

I have been invited to participate in Mt Vernon Church Annual Missionary Conference in two weeks. I am preparing for the presentation with a head and heart full of memories of our event last year. I am a member of the organized missionaries and as I consider where my passion and compassion for wellness has brought me, I think of our Ruth Circle Leader, Sister Dorothy Ford.

I really thought I would not be participating in this year’s conference, “Missionaries Empowered Through Compassion and Love to serve God’s People” because I would not be getting the call from Dorothy saying, “What do you want to present?’ But I did get the call asking me to present a session, so I sit here working on the presentation, “The Joyful Mission of Wellness. When you read this, I hope you will reply with what you would bring to a table of wellness if you got an invitation?

My contribution to the Wellness table is the Fruit of The Spirit.

WWOW: Why W is Silent in Wy but Not in Why

When you see the letters A to Z, do you think of someone who  begins their name with the letter? I have letters in my name that range fro A  to Y.

Today I was so full of “Why Wy ” as we entered the new doctor’s office armed with medical records that reflected 30 years of diagnosis and treatments. I thought about my presentation on wellness and this blog. I have explained that WWOW is Wy’s Ways of Wellness and that had been my focus and mission in recent months.

I chose the title of my Annual Missionary conference presentation and thought I would place it here as I prepare to do my outline discussing why mission is a part of wellness and how we seek joy as we work within our mission. My session is dedicated to my Ruth Circle Leader and friend, Dorothy Ford  who died in March and always asked me to participate in this conference for the last 20 years. I was honored to be asked by our next missionary leader.  This picture has the elements of wellness and now I just have to explain “Why. There must not be a silent Wy!
